Azel Rashaad (stylized azel rm) is an alternative R&B artist/producer who grew up between Jakarta, Indonesia, and New York City. Drawing early inspiration from ’80s synth-pop and indie rock, Azel has crafted a distinctive sound that fuses evocative lyrics stemming from journeys of heartbreak and sobriety with innovative production. Azel is currently studying Recorded Music at the NYU Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music.

Azel’s most recent project, RASHAAD, pushes this project further into the light with over 400,000 streams to date, solidifying their presence as an emerging artist.
